International Soap Swap News

Spring break is over, now back to work (fun)

It was my daughter's spring break last week. We had a lot of fun, went to play outside, watched movies, spent time just the three of us..., but no soaps were made. Now I am happily back to work. I mailed my package to Ramy my soap swapping friend from Spain (see my last post) and made some soap cupcakes. I am rather happy with them. Here are a few pictures:

La semaine de relâche est terminée. Nous nous sommes bien amusés en famille. On a joué dehors, vu plein de films, sommes allés à Papillons en Fête... mais aucun savon n'est sorti de ma marmite. De retour au travail, j'ai posté mon paquet à Ramy (savonnière espagnole avec laquelle je fais un échange de savons), et j'ai fait des petits gateaux (cupcakes) de savons. Non Claire, ils ne se mangent pas.

It is the same recipie as my Peppermint and Eucalyptus soap with a sprinkle of dark chocolate on top.

C'est la même recette que mes savons Menthe et eucalyptus mais avec des petits copeaux de chocolat noir sur le dessus.

I am extremely excited. :) I will participate in an international soap swap organized by Julia from Soap Artists. I can't wait!

Old Passion New Blog

Here it is..., my new blog. This one will be about my soap making endeavour. Some of you already know me for my lampwork glass beads (http://BleuVerre.etsy.com), but I bet you didn't know that my other passion is soap. I started making soap about 12 years ago, but I stopped when I was bearing my dear daughter Ellie (my doctor didn't want me to make soap, but had nothing to say about me making beads with a torch and gas... go figure :). I've came back to soap a few years ago and I've sold my products in craft shows and in a few boutiques, and now I've decided it was time to start selling on the web. Although I am used to selling my beads on Etsy, eBay and my website when I had one, now I am a bit scared to start all over with soap. Oh well... got to take the plunge. :)
My website has been running for a few months already but it is in French only right now. I will work on the English version eventually. I officially opened my Etsy shop February 2nd (groundhog day... very significant to me now :) ) so you might want to take a look : http://BullesetMolecules.etsy.com. Oh and about me... I live in Quebec City, Canada with my husband, my wonderful daughter, two dogs and two cats.
